Check out PCC Theatre Arts all-student ‘Sundowners’ play

Photos and story by

The PCC Theatre program proudly presents it’s annual spring short play festival-but with a twist. This year, the single short play is touring to the Sylvania, Cascade and Rock Creek campuses. The 10-minute original play, “Sundowners,” was produced entirely by PCC theatre students.

“Sundowners” tour schedule:

11 a.m., Thursday, May 13, Performing Arts Center, Sylvania.

11 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, The Forum, Rock Creek.

9 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, Auditorium, Moriarty Arts and Humanities Building, Cascade.

“Sundowners” explores the unique relationship between two aging Alzheimer’s patients and their care worker. A touching, funny, well-drawn portrait of the humanity of aging and working in the care-giving field, “Sundowners,” will bring a smile to your face and a warmth to your heart. All performances are free and will be followed by a brief opportunity to speak with the cast, crew, designers, director and playwright, which are all PCC students.
