Jorgensen selected to national dental assisting board of directors

The national organization Dental Assisting Learning and Education Foundation announced its new Board of Trustees and includes a PCC staffer for this academic year. Virginia Jorgensen, dental assisting instructor at PCC, is one of six new board members that will support and promote oral health around the country.

In its call for nominations for the Foundation Board received nominations from 26 dental assistants, dental hygienists, dentists, educators and oral healthcare consultants. To have been considered, interested candidates were required to submit a letter of interest; a resume or curriculum vita; a letter of recommendation from an employer, supervisor, or co-worker; or from someone who has served with the nominee on a committee or board of a state or national oral healthcare organization; and written responses to interview questions.
