Here is a look at some of the news stories about PCC from around the local area and the nation in August. In total, PCC events and people appeared 45 times in the local community or national online media, newspapers or TV/radio.
Aug. 2, KXL Radio interviewed Larry Clausen at Cascade about the enrollment situation for his Allied Health programs.
Aug. 2, OregonLive and Southwest Community Connection highlighted PCC’s 12th straight term of enrollment growth and the Portland Tribune used it as its center package story on the front page of its Web site Aug. 3.
Aug. 9, PCC’s Entry Level High-Tech Training and its effect on getting people to work was highlighted by OregonLive.
Aug. 10, PCC made the favorites list of the Princeton Review, according to the McMinnville News-Register.
Aug. 12, the Lake Oswego Review spotlighted PCC’s surging enrollment and how most of the health professions programs have long waiting lists.
Aug. 17, OregonLive featured the Hillsboro Center move.
Aug. 17, the Hillsboro Center moving to the Intermodal Transit Facility made the front page of the Hillsboro Argus.
Aug. 31, the Daily Journal of Commerce profiled the PCC bond projects across the district.
