Sylvania to broadcast White House Summit on Community Colleges

On Tuesday, Oct. 5, Jill Biden will convene the first-ever White House Summit on Community Colleges. The summit will bring together community college administrators, faculty, and students, business and philanthropic leaders, and federal and state policy leaders to address the critical role of community colleges as part of America’s economic vision for the future.

The summit will be video-streamed, live, from the Performing Arts Center at the Sylvania Campus, beginning at 9:15 a.m. and continue throughout the day.

Cascade Campus

The  Cascade Campus also will stream the live webcast in the Moriarty Auditorium. The sessions begin at 9:15 a.m. and noon. All are welcome; please feel free to stop by for whatever portion of the summit is convenient.

Topics include:

  • Ensure that the United States has the most educated workforce in the world.
  • Enable American businesses to compete in the global economy.
  • Achieve the President’s goal of leading the world with the highest proportion of college graduates by 2020.
