Photos and story by

The Portland Community College Theatre Arts’ fall production of Georg Buchner’s “Woyzeck,” will never be the same.

This classic play was found posthumously in the early 19th century. Due to poor handling, the order of the scenes in the play have never been definitively known. The cast and back stage crew are all PCC theatre arts students, who help design and build the sets as well as coordinate lighting and costume design. Please use discretion as the play does contain strong language and some nudity.

“In our production, we will have the audience determine the order each night,” said Theatre Arts Director Patrick Tangredi. “Reset in a depression era side-show, with some classic acts and attractions, we visit this classic, often called the first ‘modern play.’ Expect an evening you’ll never forget.”
