Community members tour Cascade Campus and surrounding neighborhood

Photos and story by

On an unusually beautiful Saturday afternoon on January 8, 22 community members enjoyed a two-hour tour of PCC’s Cascade Campus and the surrounding neighborhood to learn more about goals and issues to be addressed as part of the College’s plan to expand educational opportunities at its Cascade Campus in North Portland.

Most of the participants are members of the Cascade Campus’ Bond Advisory Committee, a diverse group of local residents, business and property owners, and organizational representatives working with the College to plan bond-funded improvements for the campus that support the College’s mission and enhance the local community and commercial district.  The committee will have its third meeting on Thursday, January 20 at Humboldt Gardens 95033 N. Vancouver) from 6-8 pm. Members of the public are encouraged to attend if interested in the future of Cascade Campus and the North Portland community.
