Photos and story by

Portland Community College’s Willow Creek Center will be the venue for the second annual Washington County Economic Forum, slated for 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26.

The center is at 185th and Edgeway Drive in Hillsboro, the site of the Willow Creek Transit Center. Admission to the event is free.

Several Washington County lawmakers are expected to take part, including three-term State Sen. Bruce Starr and State Reps. Shawn Lindsay and Katie Eyre Brewer. Lindsay and Brewer are newcomers to the Legislature, having been elected to vacant seats last November.

Organizers include the Greater Hillsboro Area Chamber of Commerce and the Westside Economic Alliance. A wide array of business leaders from the region will be on hand, as well.

Seating is limited and registration is required by Friday. To register, send an e-mail to deannap@hillchamber.org or call (503) 648-1102.
