Photos and story by

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tomorrow we start to visit members of Congress to discuss a wide array of issues, including President Obama’s proposed cuts to the Pell Grant Program.
What would such cuts mean to PCC students? We don’t know yet.
But we do know that, in 2009-10, a total of 14,944 PCC students received Pell Grants, averaging $2,807 each for a total of $41.95 million.
Compare that to 2007-08, when 7,360 students netted an average of $2,294 each for a total of $16.88 million.
We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
