Tobacco-free policy forum at Sylvania

Photos and story by

Linda Gerber, president of the Sylvania Campus, will host a forum to discuss implementation of the college’s tobacco-free policy. The forum, which is open to all staff, faculty and students, will be from 3 to 4 p.m., Thursday, March 10, Room 223, Health Technology Building.

The college launched its tobacco-free policy in September 2009, throughout the district, with the goal of creating a healthier PCC community. While implementation of the policy has led to positive results on the campuses, there have been unanticipated consequences affecting nearby neighbors and natural areas that need to be addressed by the college. The March 10 forum will focus on ideas for adjusting policy implementation strategies.
