The Redistricting Committees of both the Oregon Senate and House came together last Friday in the Building 3 auditorium of the Rock Creek Campus of PCC.

Lawmakers gathered to discuss the once-every-decade redrawing of their districts. This follows the nationwide Census, which took place in 2010.

If the Legislature is unable to come up with new boundaries between House districts, and between Senate districts, the task goes to Secretary of State Kate Brown. If she cannot redraw the lines, redistricting goes to the courts.
