Photos and story by Kate Chester
Spring cleaning will be a snap thanks to PCC Sylvania’s fourth annual e-Cycling Drive on Saturday, May 14.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Parking Lot 10 on the Sylvania Campus (12000 S.W. 49th Ave.). Unwanted computer equipment like computer towers, laptops, monitors, printers, keyboards, scanners and disks will be accepted and triaged on site by Total Reclaim and Sylvania faculty, staff and students, then evaluated as to whether it can be used again. If not, it will be responsibly recycled.
Students will collect data at the event about donors and donations as part of class research projects.
The event is open to the general public. Cost: $5 per car load; $10 per pick-up truck/SUV/van load. Cash only and no checks or credit cards. Television sets will not be accepted.
