Peace Symposium set for Cascade Campus
Photos and story by Kate Chester
“New Beginnings: Rebuilding Relationships,” a peace symposium sponsored by the regional Peace and Conflict Studies Consortium and hosted by PCC’s Peace and Conflict Studies Program, is right around the corner.
The event – slated for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, at Cascade Campus, Terrell Hall, Rooms 112 and 122 – will include educators involved with peace studies from throughout Oregon and southwest Washington. Topics to be addressed include research in the field, academic programs currently in existence, the development of academic programs, and planning for the future.
The symposium is free of charge and open to all students, staff and faculty who can attend whatever portion of the event works with their schedules. Attendees should plan to bring a sack lunch or grab a bite over the noon hour at one of many nearby restaurants.
