State Rep. Michael Dembrow, a longtime instructor at PCC’s Cascade Campus, is planning a “Constituent Coffee” meeting from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Case Study Coffee, 5347 N.E. Sandy Blvd. The event is free and open to the public.

Dembrow, who formerly served as president of the PCC Faculty Federation, also was asked to speak on May Day – Sunday, May 1 – to an estimated 3,000 people outside the Capitol in Salem. Also speaking at the event was Oregon Secretary of State Kate Brown.

“They were there to celebrate the day,” Dembrow wrote in an e-mail to constituents, “and to call for progress on immigration reform; to discuss voting and equal representation, health care equity, and to urge the passage of tuition equity at the state level.”
