Is there a nurse in the house?

Photos and story by

Students in the nursing program at Portland Community College get ready for their group photo on Wednesday, May 18, in front of the Performing Arts Center on the Sylvania Campus. Approximately 100 students per year participate from the popular program – which often draws up to 1,000 applications per year. The “pinning” ceremony takes place each spring to honor the graduating students.

The popular nursing program at PCC draws many more applicants each year than there are slots in the program.
