Photos and story by

The award-winning environmental education film “Living Downstream” will be shown at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26 in the Moriarty Auditorium, Cascade Campus. The documentary follows ecologist and cancer survivor Dr. Sandra Steingraber as she travels across North America working to break the silence about cancer and its environmental links. There is no charge for the event, although donations will be accepted.

Through Sandra’s personal journey and her scientific exploration, “Living Downstream,” is a powerful reminder of the intimate connection between the health of our bodies and the health of our air, land, and water. This showing is hosted by the Oregon Environmental Council and Rachel’s friends, the evening will include a Q & A following the screening.
