Technical troubles continue a second week

Photos and story by

Today, the college is still experiencing network outages at some campuses and centers. Staff and administration are working to resolve these issues.

Last week, a system malfunction at most Portland Community College campuses and centers has affected telephone, e-mail and computer systems that students, staff and faculty use to access information, process data and participate in distance learning classes. Users are experiencing delays and outages.

The problem occurred during the first week of fall term; traditionally a busy time for our telephone and computer systems. College officials apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.

Students and faculty are asked to be patient as teams work around the clock to identify and solve the problems.
