PCC dedicates day to help students with financial aid maze

Portland Community College, in partnership with College Goal Oregon, is hosting a day to provide free help to students in submitting their federal financial aid (FAFSA) form.
Financial Aid Day is for students looking for money to go to college, who need help filling out the FAFSA form and needing to find out about other resources to pay for college. Students can visit any of four PCC locations across the metro area from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 21. Spanish language advisers will be available at all locations.

- Mount Tabor Hall, Great Hall, Southeast Center (2305 SE 82nd Ave.), Phone: (971) 722-6348.
Both students and parents should attend if possible. Students and parents should bring their Social Security numbers, birth dates and federal student aid PIN to sign their application electronically. In addition, students and parents need a proof of income for 2011 and their 2011 W-2s, the last pay stub from 2010 or 2010 tax returns as well as current value of assets.
