Luncheon for students who single parents set for Nov. 7

Portland Community College students who are single moms and dads are the focus of a free lunch and workshop scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, in the Event Center, Building 9, Rock Creek Campus.
The Single Parent Career Luncheon features a guest presenter and interactive workshop facilitator Lou Ann Bennett, who is a business and life coach. She is also founder of Heart Path, an organization focused on personal growth and development. Sponsored by the Rock Creek Women’s Resource Center and the Career Resource Center, the event offers a free raffle and a parenting resource fair with approximately 20 vendors who will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Event Center.
Interested students are asked to register by Friday, Nov. 2, either at the campus’ Career Center (Room 108, Building 9) or Women’s Resource Center (Room 103, Building 2). You can also sign up by emailing vadler@pcc.edu, or Kristen.martin1@pcc.edu.
