Sylvania WRC helping families for holidays

Photos and story by

The Sylvania Women’s Resource Center is hosting its annual Laundry Basket Project now through Friday, Dec. 7. Staff are looking for donations of household goods such as soap, detergent, toothpaste/brushes, shampoo/conditioner, feminine hygiene products, and diapers. Simply look for the baskets at any campus department’s office. These basic goods will be delivered to Volunteers of America Home Free, a non-profit program that assists women and children escaping domestic violence. Staff also will accept cash or check donations.

For more information, contact the Sylvania WRC at wrc@pcc.edu, or (971) 722-8101.

I currently attend PCC Rock Creek, and am unable to get to the Sylvannia campus to donate. Since, I am unable to donate to the Sylvannia project through Rock Creek, is Rock Creek doing something similar so that I can participate in the cause and support the mission?
