PCC students are welcome to attend the Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference. The conference is a platform to facilitate information sharing, networking, and collaboration related to innovative sustainability practice and research among Oregon’s higher education institutions.
Formerly known as the Oregon University System Sustainability Conference, the 2013 version will now engage both public and private Oregon colleges and universities. The conference will feature two days of workshops, plenary discussions, and peer-to-peer learning for professionals, faculty, and students serving in a variety of roles around sustainability on our state’s campuses.
The conference runs Thursday, Jan. 31 and Friday, Feb. 1 at Smith Memorial Student Union, Portland State University, 1825 S.W. Broadway. Plus, pre-conference tours are available Jan. 30 and there will be a student summit from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
It is co-hosted by Portland State, Oregon State University, University of Oregon, Portland Community College, and the Oregon University System. Sponsors include EnergyTrust of Oregon, Trashco and University Place Hotel.
