Rock Creek Campus lays a 300 cubic yard foundation
Photos and story by Gina Whitehill-Baziuk
Early morning, February 20, the Fortis Construction crews poured 300 cubic yards of concrete over a 14,000 square foot pad, effectively burying the re-bar grid and the bright yellow vapor barrier on the new addition to Building 7 on the PCC Rock Creek Campus. Twenty-four hours later the pour was nearly complete with crews buffing the concrete to give it a polished look. Once done, the concrete was covered with a rainproof sealant.
Next step? Steel framing begins in mid March!!!
