North View Gallery shows off ‘Space Between’ exhibit

In their first collaborative exhibition, Meg Peterson and Julia Stoops present the exhibit, “The Space Between,” throughout April in the North View Gallery at the Sylvania Campus. The show is an investigation by the duo into the use of space as a metaphor for examining experience and reality.

“The artists’ decision to work together has stemmed from a synchronicity in creative process; they share a fascination with science, particularly in physics and geology,” said North View Director Mark Smith. “The collaboration is a commentary on the intersections and parallels between the sciences and an inherent spirituality found in the world around us.”
There will be an artists’ talk at 3 p.m. followed by an opening reception from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 10. Viewing hours at the gallery are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and noon to 4 p.m., Saturday. The North View Gallery is located in Room 214, CT Building, Sylvania. This exhibition is supported by Regional Arts & Culture Council.

This looks amazing. I’ll definitely be checking this out when I go to school today. This very topic is what led me back to school and to PCC in the first place, the parallelism of art and science.
