Sylvania lockdown drill set for Thursday, April 11

Photos and story by

WHAT:  Sylvania Campus will hold a lockdown drill using its Mass Notification and Alert System. The drill offers an opportunity to practice an emergency drill that is different than a fire alarm/evacuation drill. An alert will be sounded; everyone on campus will carry out the lockdown drill, and all buildings and common areas will participate in the drill.

WHEN:  10:10 a.m., Thursday, April 11.

DETAILS:  The alert will sound for approximately three minutes. The Mass Notification and Alert System will sound the drill, first with an audible tone, then with flashing strobe lights (indoors), followed by audible instructions. The drill will conclude with an “all clear” message.
