Instagrads: 2014 graduates rock the Glass Palace
Photos and story by James Hill
Portland Community College’s 52nd Commencement Ceremony attracted thousands of people to Memorial Coliseum on Friday, June 13 to celebrate the hundreds of graduates. This year, about 5,200 degrees, certificates and awards were handed out and nearly 900 students walked to the stage in front of cheering friends, family and community members. “As a graduate, you join more than 1.3 million people worldwide who have been educated by PCC,” said President Jeremy Brown to the graduates. “Use this network to nurture your dreams in whatever life’s journey you choose.”

Below is a photo gallery of just some of what went on during commencement. For official photos, contact records@pcc.edu.
Is there anywhere we can view the other candid photos taken at the Graduation?
Thank you for the beautiful photos!
So much fun…I graduated last year and wanted to be a part of this exciting event this year so I volunteered. I also took a video of most students filing out of the waiting area and if someone can help me get it off my phone (too large of a file to e-mail) your more than welcome to have a copy! E-mail me at the above address. Thanks and congratulations!!!
Charlie,
Your email address does not show in your post. There are a couple of different ways to get a large video from your phone.
Depending on your phone, you may be able to plug it in to a computer via a USB cable(sometimes your charger doubles as a USB connector cord). If you can, it is just a matter of finding the video and saving it to your computer.
You can also upload the video to a Cloud service such as Skydrive or another Cloud service, and provide open access to others via a link to the Skydrive folder.
Let me know if those options are not helpful, and thank you for offering your video :-)
