OHSU hosts ‘Science Cafe’ at Willow Creek Center

Portland Community College’s Willow Creek Center (241 SW Edgeway Drive) is once again hosting the OHSU Oregon National Primate Research Center’s “Science Cafe” Lecture Series in the Great Room (rooms 103/104). The series is presented in partnership with OHSU and offered free of charge to the public every Tuesday during October. All faculty, staff and students are welcomed to attend.

This year’s lecture topics are about topics in the field of Neuroscience and are: “The Neuroscience of Alcohol Addiction” (Oct. 7); “Reversing Damage in the Aging and Degenerating Brain” (Oct. 14);  “Using gene therapy to repair the brain: Lessons from Huntington’s Disease” (Oct. 21); and “Clocks, Reproduction, Sleep and Aging” (Oct. 28).

Each lecture starts at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy a light meal at the Terra Verde Cafe located inside Willow Creek prior to the lecture.
