A big welcome back to local café owner Michele Wong. The proprietor took a hiatus from the biz after six years at Café Pallino on SE Division Street. Old School Coffee will be housed in the southeast corner of the college’s new Library. With the start-up of interior construction students, faculty, staff and nearby residents can look forward to enjoying an espresso, taking a study break or visiting with friends in the new cafe early in the New Year.
The college is excited that it is also currently negotiating with several other local merchants to fill the retail spaces along the east side of the Southeast Campus Student Commons.
PCC’S 2008 voter-approved $374 million bond program is increasing opportunities for residents to access quality, affordable higher education close to where they live and work. Additional classrooms, updated equipment and technology, and advanced workforce training programs are helping to pave the way for future employment options.
