On the steps of the Capitol Building in Salem, PCC students and Poppe the Panther were in attendance for a statewide Rally Day on Thursday, Feb. 12 by college students. Hundreds of students from universities and two-year colleges joined together for the rally, which centered on the cost of education and student debt.
“We need help, and that is why we went to Salem, to ask for it,” said PCC student leader Kole Myrick. “It was inspiring to see so many students at the rally from across Oregon, whether they were from a university or a community college. We all came together to let Salem know that our voice will be heard and that we are strong.”
