Expert on community college issues to visit Sylvania Campus

Terry O’Banion, higher education thought leader, will visit Portland Community College’s Performing Arts Center at the Sylvania Campus (12000 SW 49th Ave.) from 3-4 p.m., Monday, May 11 to present on, “Student Success and Engagement.” The talk will be followed by a question-and-answer session with attendees. The question-and-answer session will follow from approximately 4-4:30 p.m. Staff, faculty and students are encouraged to attend the presentation, which is free and open to the general public.
O’Banion is an author and speaker on community colleges in the 21st century. He is President Emeritus of the League for Innovation in the Community College, and has worked with more than 800 community colleges across North America. He is currently a major presenter on student success pathways and the completion agenda.
