PCC ranked No. 16 in nation for associate degree completion

The results are in and Portland Community College is ranked 16th in the nation for top degree-producing community colleges.
Overall, PCC placed in the top-100 in nine categories in the recently released 2015 Top 100 Associate Degree Producers Special Report by the trade newspaper Community College Week. In addition, the college ranked No. 48 in one-year certificate completion from 2013-2014 data compiled by the newspaper.
The report by Community College Week serves as a report card for the nation’s community colleges on how well they are serving various populations and where they stand among their peers. The data is gleaned from analysis of information provided to the newspaper by the U.S. Department of Education.
Below are the rankings where PCC made the top-100 in various associate degree categories (ranking last year):
- 11th in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities.
- 19th in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services.
- 42nd in Engineering Technologies and Engineering-related fields.
- 20th in Precision Production.
