Women’s Empowerment Retreat to be held at Rock Creek

The PCC community is invited to participate in the 6th Annual Women’s Empowerment Retreat Friday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Event Center, Rock Creek Campus.
With the theme, “Women Talk About Race in Oregon,” the retreat offers workshops, keynote speakers and the “Wise Women’s Lunch Panel.” The keynote speaker is Carmen Suarez, Portland State University Vice President for Global Diversity and Inclusion.
The retreat highlights include a silent auction, yoga or Mindfulness workshops, speed mentoring Session, the history of segregation in Portland Schools, Lunch & Wise Women’s Panel and a networking party.
For more information or to volunteer, contact Kristen Martin, Women’s Resource Center coordinator at Rock Creek at 971-722-7448. Participants may come for all or part of the day. Family and friends are welcomed. People can sign up in the Women’s Resource Center, Room 119, Building 7, Rock Creek. The cost is $10 for students ($10 registration scholarships for students are available) and $15 for staff and faculty.
All proceeds benefit women at PCC in the form of scholarships offered by the PCC Foundation.
