Offer input on state budget at upcoming Ways and Means ‘Road Show’ stop, Feb. 11 at Sylvania

The Oregon Legislative Assembly’s budget-writing Joint Ways and Means Committee will hold a series of public hearings across state throughout February – with one stop being at PCC’s Sylvania campus (12000 SW 49th Ave., Portland).
Mark the calendar for Saturday, Feb. 11, from noon to 2 p.m., and attend the town hall, to be held in the main mall of the College Center building. Open to the public and free of charge, the gathering will be led by Rep. Nancy Nathanson (D-Eugene) and Sen. Richard Devlin (D-Tualatin), the co-chairs of the committee.
The event creates an opportunity for Oregonians to provide input into the 2017-2019 biennial state budget, which falls $1.8 billion short of necessary funding to continue state services at current levels.
