Open house for student resource centers, set for May 17 at Sylvania
Photos and story by Kate Chester
It’s been a long time coming: the new, permanent, renovated locations for Sylvania Campus student resource centers!
Thanks to PCC’s Bond Program, several centers have been modernized and moved to the Upper Mall of Sylvania’s College Center building, a location that offers higher visibility and is more conducive to serving students. And now, it’s time to celebrate all that!
Join students, staff and faculty from the campus, leadership from the Bond office and district offices, and PCC’s elected board directors from noon to 3 p.m., Thursday, May 17, and take a tour of the facilities – including student government, the Multicultural Center, Queer Resource Center, Veterans’ Resource Center and Women’s Resource Center. Remarks from Heather Lang, interim Dean of Student Success, and Linda Degman, director of the Bond Program, are slated to begin at 2:15 p.m. Dessert and refreshments will be available, with a raffle and prizes to add to the fun.
All are welcome!
