It truly is the season of giving.

The Sylvania Campus celebrated the holiday season with a fundraiser for the Associated Students of Portland Community College’s (ASPCC) Panther Pantry and Neighborhood House at its annual Winterfest on Tuesday, Dec. 11. The campus raised $876 in cash donations and about 300 cans of food and 30 Panther Picks, which will help food insecure students receive a free meal in upcoming terms.

Departments at the campus created gift baskets that were raffled off by Sylvania Division Dean for Business and Computing Albert Lee. Participants were also entertained by history instructor Sylvia Gray who lent her talents to play holiday music on the piano, while music instructor Julianne Johnson-Weiss led a group of students in carols.
