For the first time since its inception a Portland Community College student is highlighted in the latest statewide podcast “All In: Student Pathways Forward.”
In the newest episode, PCC Career Pathways student Shalease Williams discusses with host Marc Goldberg the value of stackable credentials for adult students and how the support and resources provided by staff were essential for her success and other adult and parenting students like herself. In addition, Goldberg talks with President Mark Mitsui, who reflects on the interview with Williams and elaborates on the systemic barriers students face, as well as solutions like Oregon’s statewide Pathways to Opportunity initiative and the Career Pathways framework.

He also discusses how the foundation is investing in various state and college projects that support adult students to earn quality stackable credentials, increasing college completion and access to good jobs.
