Photos and story by

Are you ready for some bright colors? Then this upcoming event might be for you.

Please join Portland Community College between 1:30-3 p.m., Tuesday, March 7 at Room 122, Building 7, Rock Creek Campus for Holi, a festival of colors. Originating in India, this day celebrates oneness with nature and each other. PCC hosted the event from 2018-20 until the pandemic forced its hiatus.poster

So, come visit and enjoy a cultural program along with snacks. If you plan to play with organic colors please wear clothes you don’t mind getting  colored and bring your inner kid along, too. This event is cosponsored by the Rock Creek Multicultural and Women’s Resource centers, and the Math Program

These events give students, faculty and staff a sense of belonging and helps to engage them on a deeper level. PCC is transforming the college’s learning culture toward creating a sense of belonging and well-being for every student. This is a key component of the 2020-2025 Strategic Plan: Discovering New Possibilities, which is preparing PCC for the future of higher education.
