Jade International Night Market returns to Southeast Campus, celebrating unity

The Jade International Night Market is scheduled to take place at Portland Community College’s Southeast Campus from 1-9 p.m., Saturday, August 19. Themed “Together Again,” this year’s event promises to be one of the best yet, offering eight hours of fun, food, and cultural celebrations.

The market plays a vital role in supporting the local small businesses of the Jade District neighborhood. By attending, visitors not only enjoy a day of festivities but also contribute to the livelihood of the diverse community. Collaborating with Jade District, APANO, and the Portland Art and Cultural Center, the event showcases the vibrant culture and rich diversity of Southeast Portland.

Expect a wide array of offerings from local artisans, small businesses, and mouthwatering food vendors. The family-friendly event features exciting activities for children, such as free face painting and balloon art from 1-5 p.m.

From 5-9 p.m., captivating stage performances will showcase cultural dances and music, celebrating the spirit of Southeast Portland’s dynamic community. For environmentally-conscious attendees, PCC’s Active Transportation team will provide free bike maintenance from 6 p.m. onwards.
