Alternative medicine series explains nature's Rx

TIGARD, Ore. – There is a different way to treat common family illnesses: nature’s way. Portland Community College will feature a non-credit lecture series that explains how natural medicine can help you rely on wholesome cures that prevent sickness as well as heal. Dr. Suzanne Lawton, a naturopathic physician, will lead the Natural Medicine Lecture Series in Tigard. Through a series of six lectures, students will discover practical, safe and natural approaches that can be immediately incorporated at home. Special emphasis will be paid to preventative health care as well as effective remedies. Each lecture will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesdays, April 2 through May 7, at Tigard High School, 9000 S.W. Durham Road. Cost is $14 per individual lecture or $66 for the complete series.
