Bring photos to life with PCC ?digital darkroom' class
Photos and story by James Hill
PORTLAND, Ore. – As much fun as you had taking pictures, editing adds the little something extra that makes photos really shine. A new non-credit class offered by Portland Community College this summer can show you the digital tools you need to add zip to your albums. Digital Darkroom with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 will unleash your inner artist while showing how easy it is to use this powerful program. Instructor Byron Will explains the possibilities: remove red eye, make a color photo look black and white, create greeting cards, or run a slide show. You can even twist, twirl or liquefy photos and create backgrounds for Web pages and Web photo galleries. The six-week class will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, June 23 through July 28, in Room 219 of the TH Building at PCC Cascade Campus, 705 N. Killingsworth St. Cost is $99.
