Relationship experts introduce ?Interpersonal Mindfulness'

PORTLAND, Ore. – Explore the causes of interpersonal stress and discover how to finally achieve clear communication with a new non-credit class offered by Portland Community College.Interpersonal Mindfulness is an exciting new relationship technique for limiting bad habits and practicing skillful interaction with others. Students will discover this new approach to dialogue, which relies on insight and mindful meditation. The result can be a radical change for the better in your relationships with others, as well as a newfound ability to communicate and achieve your goals.The class will be led by two of the industry’s leaders: Yael Schweitzer and Greg Kramer. Schweitzer is a co-developer of the Interpersonal Mindfulness Program. As a clinical social worker and teacher of stress reduction, she has more than 20 years’ experience in integrating these practices into therapeutic work with individuals and groups. Kramer’s doctorate in learning and change in human systems has led him to co-found Harvest With Heart, a hunger project in the northeast U.S., and Spiritual Dialogue Form in Portland. He also teaches meditation, writes and directs the Metta Foundation in Portland.The nine-week class will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 12 through June 7, in Room 303 at PCC’s Central Portland Workforce Training Center, 1626 S.E. Water Ave. Cost is $134.
