Singles in the City Series Offered by PCC

PORTLAND – Single professionals can meet others, learn about themselves and enjoy popular downtown restaurants during a three-part series being offered this fall by Portland Community College. The non-credit Singles in the City series begins with Career Adrenaline, an opportunity for professionals to share resources, ideas and solutions. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8 at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel, 50 S.W. Morrison St. Tuition is $20 and participants are asked to bring $10.50 for brunch. The series continues with lunch and a tour of the Portland Art Museum from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28. Participants will view the "In Search of the Promised Land: Frederic Edwin Church and Exploration" exhibit at the museum, 1219 S.W. Park St., and then convene at nearby South Park for a no-host lunch. Tuition is $20. The series concludes with Are We Compatible? from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19 at Morrison Park, 803 S.W. Morrison St. The session will cover ways to identify signs of compatibility through a simple and fun process, and offer tips on understanding people, refining judgment and making better personal choices.
