Photos and story by James Hill
Did you miss Founders’ Week at PCC? You missed quite a lot!
From May 12-17, the college celebrated its birthday and its accomplishments with a mix of activities that also showcased the pride of the college community – from the Panther Prowl Fun Run to Lightbulb Lectures by various faculty, there was something for everyone. The video recap above give you taste of what went on during the college’s third annual Founders’ Week celebrations. The All College Picnic attracted hundreds of staff, students and faculty to the Cascade Campus for the annual luncheon, complete with free-throw competitions, music by Brownish Black and speeches by PCC President Jeremy Brown, men’s basketball coach Tony Broadous and Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs Chris Chairsell. The week was capped with the PCC Foundation’s Gala, which raises money for student scholarships. The Foundation reported it raised $300,000 through paddle-raise donations and a silent auction at the gala.
