Pat Kraft’s hard work rewarded with state honor

Pat Kraft is an award-winning instructor. The Machine Manufacturing Technology instructor won the 2014 Oregon State Award for Outstanding Leadership in Career and Technical Education for his work in educating students, partnering with schools, training teachers and creating pathways to employers for his graduates. In his 11th year, Kraft has helped to cultivate a popular Machine Tech Program that trumpets a long waiting list to get in and evolving the curriculum that reflects the latest technological advances like 3D printing machines and various rapid tech. He’s best known for coordinating the annual FIRST Robotics Camps for area high school students, including for girls, leading teacher educator camps and helping to instruct a wearable tech workshop for Latina high school students.
