Event kicks off Willow Creek Center
Photos and Story by Gina Whitehill-Baziuk
A breakfast meeting of the Westside Economic Alliance, Friday, March 5, also served as the official grand opening of Portland Community College’s Willow Creek Center in Hillsboro.
An estimated 200 business leaders and representatives of city, county and state government were on hand for the event. Congressman David Wu of Oregon’s 1st Congressional District spoke.
Willow Creek was constructed in 2009 with a combination of funds from the college’s 2008 bond measure and $7.5 million in matching grants from the Oregon Legislature.
