Introducing the new PCC Southeast Campus!
Photos and story by Karen Kane
Discover a world of opportunity at the new PCC Southeast Campus
Join the campus community, neighbors, local business and restaurants for a day of live music, dance and family friendly activities.
Saturday, October 18, 12 noon – 4 p.m.
SE 82nd Avenue and Division Street
Tour the new and renovated buildings at PCC’s newest comprehensive, full-service campus. With full academic and support services and an expanded 18-acre campus, students can enroll in all the classes required to earn an associate degree right in the neighborhood—without having to travel to different PCC location.
The new Student Commons includes a larger bookstore open to the public, classrooms, labs, and student service ares, as well as a STEM center (science, technology, engineering and math). The colorful, bright new Library features a tutoring center, the Student Learning Center, a volunteer Literacy Center, and independent and group study areas. The renovated 1911 Building, formerly home to an Altenheim, a retirement home for German community members, has been restored with period architectural details and houses campus administration.
The new and updated facilities at the Southeast Campus are made possible thanks to the 2008 voter-approved bond measure.
We look forward to seeing you there!
