Wearable art parade gets weird, cool and very funky all at once

Photos and story by

Every term, Marie Sivak’s “ART 117-Basic Design: 3D Foundations” class goes on a parade through the Sylvania Campus to show off their creations. In the class, Sivak helps the students explore ways of seeing and creating work that acknowledges personal artistic intentions. They examine various 2-D, 3-D, and 4-D media, and processes used to develop and encourage creative problem solving. Eventually, they establish the critical skills necessary to evaluate art through critiques, discussions and presentation. The last part is the wearable art parade. Enjoy!
