Jazz Piano Class Teaches 88 Keys to Enlightenment

PORTLAND, Ore. – Tatum, Monk, Lennie and more – learn how the jazz piano masters tickled the ivories and changed music history in Portland Community College’s upcoming course. Instructor Jack Rubinger will cover 100 years of jazz tradition, teaching students how to identify and enjoy the intricacies of this American art form. Jazz Piano: 88 Keys to Enlightenment, a non-credit course, will meet from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesdays, April 9 through May 14 in Room 116 of Wilson High School, 1151 S.W. Vermont.
