PCC Dance Students to Perform Concert

PORTLAND, Ore. – The dance program at Portland Community College will stage its annual concert on Friday, June 7 at 8:00 p.m. in the Sylvania Performing Arts Center, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Students in the Sylvania Campus dance program will perform works of ballet, jazz dance, modern dance and Flamenco. The concert features choreography by PCC dance instructors Diana LoVerso, Kimm Mahoney-Watson, Robin Knight, Les Watanabe, Marnie Anderson, and guest instructor and choreographer Minh Tran, as well as by dance students. Approximately 120 students will participate. Students in instructor Dan Hays’ theater arts lighting design class will design and operate the lighting for the show. A suggested donation at the door is $3 general admission and $2 for students and seniors.
