Relationship series tackles tough issues

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Instead of worrying about getting in shape for the summer, concentrate on an area that really counts: your heart. A three-part, non-credit relationship series offered by Portland Community College can offer the exercises you need to build strong and healthy commitments between you and the one you love.Relationship Series in Beaverton will look at the work of relationship expert Harville Hendrix. Instructor Sher Ireland will present an interactive class, using discussion and videos to highlight Imago Relationship therapy. Come by yourself, come as a couple – the supportive environment offers interesting insight for any relationship stage.The series will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Fridays, July 11, 25 and Aug. 8 in Room 1570 of the PCC Washington County Workforce Training Center, 18624 N.W. Walker Road. Difficult subjects will be brought into a comfortable environment, detailed as follows:Learning to Connect (July 11); Changing Frustrations to Requests (July 25); and Healing Wounds and Becoming Empathetic (Aug. 8).
