PCC Offers Class in Basics of Hand-held Computers

PORTLAND, Ore. – The basics of Palm and Handspring hand-held computers will be taught in a non-credit class being offered this fall by Portland Community College.Two sessions of Hand-held Computers – Palm and Handspring, have been scheduled. The first class will meet from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursdays, Oct 4 and Oct. 11, at Morrison Park, 803 S.W. Morrison (at Park). The second class will meet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25, also at Morrison Park. Tuition is $27.Instructor Barbara Theus will familiarize students with the core functions of hand-held operating systems and introduce other applications to customize individual computers.
