BEAVERTON, Ore. – January is the traditional month of bridal shows. But while you are concentrating on every detail of your ceremony, don’t forget the adventure immediately after the wedding: the honeymoon. Portland Community College can help you design the perfect getaway with an upcoming non-credit class.Instructor Paula Hobble will teach Planning the Perfect Honeymoon – a complete guide to developing your destination plans. In one evening, couples can research popular trips like Hawaii, Italy, Fiji, Las Vegas, San Francisco or discover a romantic location off the beaten path. The class features tips and tricks from experienced travel agents, and uncovers hidden low-cost, high-quality finds in accommodations, transportation and more."Your honeymoon is your time to relax from all the planning and celebrate your new life together,"said Hobble. "This class is designed to take the guess work and stress out of travel, and offer something magical for the two of you to look forward to."The one-evening class will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, in Room A8 at Whitford Middle School, 7935 S.W. Scholls Ferry Road. Portland Community College will offer Oahu Revisited, a non-credit class designed to help you discover a newly modernized vacation hotspot – and take you back to the times of surfing, luaus, the hula, sightseeing, eating a pineapple and sailing on a catamaran.Instructor Paula Hobble will offer the inside track on vacationing in Oahu, including maps, brochures, video, and tips and tricks from veteran travel agents. Students will come away with a complete itinerary for upcoming travel. "Half the excitement of travel is discovering all of your options while you plan the adventure,"said Janice Dolan, PCC Community Education manager.
